    On June 3-5, at the Warsaw University of Technology and the World Hearing Center in Kajetany, the "Science for Society" congress was held, at which almost 60 scientific and research institutes and educational centers presented themselves. Participants had the opportunity to take part in numerous expert panels and lectures, learn about the achievements of individual institutions, see thematic exhibitions, take advantage of free research, advice and consultations.

    In recent years, the popularity of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) devices has been growing rapidly. They are increasingly used in many fields - in industry, medicine, architecture and education. That is why scientists from the Central Institute for Labor Protection - National Research Institute (CIOP-PIB) focused on the problem of the impact of these devices on human health. They have developed a method of testing VR and AR devices that allows you to assess the safety of their use in terms of exposure to optical radiation emitted by displays.

  • The role of breathing exercises in stress and mood regulation – a review of research (16)
    The article presents the relationship between the regular practice of slow breathing (breathing exercises) and the mood and stress level, as well as the direct effects of performing a few-minute exercise consisting in slowing down the rate of breathing. It explains what breathing exercises are and discusses the results of various studies on slow breathing and its impact on human mood. Many of these studies reveal that appropriate breathing exercises contribute to the improvement of mood and well-being and the reduction of symptoms of tension and anxiety, which translates into better functioning of a person in the work environment, including an increase in his efficiency and job satisfaction. From the company's point of view, this, in turn, means lower costs resulting from errors made by employees.
