This was the answer given by as many as 73% of people in this year's edition of the Randstad Employer Brand Research. Second place was taken by a friendly work atmosphere - 64% of responses. The labor market is constantly evolving as economies and technologies develop. New opportunities for customers to purchase services and products - related, for example, to the creation and operation of mobile applications - result in the development of new strategies for professional activity. Examples of these include platform work and freelancing, which are characterized by high flexibility in the provision of services, but also by job uncertainty and precarious working conditions. The article characterizes the professional groups of people performing platform work and working as independent specialists (freelancers), presents research results on precariousness and psychosocial working conditions and quality of life of these people, and provides tips for those who work in new forms of work.
- Eye protection at work: requirements and practical aspects of sunglasses in the context of professional use (19)
The article discusses issues related to the use of sunglasses while performing professional activities. The basic functions of such glasses and the parameters characterizing the protective filters used in them were analyzed, especially in terms of the interpretation of the spectral characteristics of optical radiation transmission. The technical requirements for such glasses are presented based on the current PN-EN ISO 16321-1:2022-10 standard. Arguments were given in favor of using sunglasses with filters to prevent glare, which in extreme cases can cause dangerous situations (road collisions, falls from heights). In addition, the differences between professional and everyday sunglasses are explained, and tips are provided on how to choose sunglasses that meet all safety requirements while still being comfortable to wear. The aim of the article is to show how appropriate sunglasses can contribute to improving comfort and safety at work.
