- Amendment of the provisions on safety data sheets (1)
In the middle of last year, the Commission Regulation (EU) 2020/878 of 18 June 2020 was published in the EU's Official Journal, amending Annex II to Regulation (EC) Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH). Among other things, changes were made to the provisions of the safety data sheet and its format. The new regulations apply from January 1, 2021.

The changes to the NDS regulations for dust generated during wood processing and regarding the classification of dust from each wood as carcinogens mean that each wood dust is subject to the provisions of the Regulation on chemical substances, their mixtures and agents or technological processes with carcinogenic or mutagenic effects in the work environment.

The safety data sheet for a chemical substance is the main tool for the flow of hazard information and risk management between the manufacturer, supplier and downstream user of a substance or mixture in the supply chain.
