    • Production line automation – a way to lower production costs (6)
Of course, this is an evolutionary change. We don't live in a Terminator world, and Skynet isn't destroying humanity any more than the Matrix is imprisoning us. However, what functions in our "private" reality - where the light automatically turns on when a person is in the room, and turns off when the sensor no longer detects his presence - has not become a permanent fixture in our companies.

    • Which press brake should you choose depending on the type of material being processed? (16)
A press brake is a machine used for bending sheet metal. It is used in many areas of industry.
    • Oil management outsourcing (20)
Outsourcing is one of the most effective ways to reduce company costs. It involves delegating tasks, processes or services to external companies. It may concern various areas of activity, such as IT, accounting, customer service, production, marketing and logistics. The article discusses the benefits, challenges and development prospects related to outsourcing oil management in industrial companies.
    • PDCA cycle. The process goes on and on (22)
The PDCA cycle, also known as the Deming cycle or Deming circle, is one of the universal tools that can be used in the areas of quality management, Lean Management and project management. Moreover, this cycle is often mentioned by people from other fields or professions when undertaking various development or improvement initiatives. Therefore, it seems that this tool has become a permanent part of the vocabulary of engineers, managers and ordinary employees.
    • Horizontal markings – what to consider when giving direction (28)
Horizontal markings are primarily lines marking transport routes, communication paths, storage areas and hazardous zones, both in warehouses and production halls, as well as outside the workplace. Every labor organizer who has had an accident at work resulting from the lack or incorrect horizontal marking of the workplace could see how important it is to properly designate and mark roads, paths and fields.
    • Sensor technology is creating the future of retail (36)
Important changes are currently taking place in grocery distribution logistics: more and more retailers are using micro logistics centers to meet the challenges of online retailing. This means that orders are picked close to the customer. The sensor technology needed to handle these orders must meet certain requirements.
    • Well packed (38)
From a few millimeters to even several meters - elements of such sizes can be obtained using thermoforming technology, also known as vacuum forming. For this purpose, a thermoplastic semi-finished product, e.g. a foil or a plate, is heated and formed. Once it is brought to the appropriate temperature, it can be shaped without losing its cohesion. The technology is already used in almost all industries for production, including: packaging (used e.g. in the cosmetics or food industry) or technical elements (e.g. shower cabins, furniture parts, lamp elements or computer cases). The main reasons for this are low cost and the possibility of using multiple forms.

    • "Flying" containers (58)
Overhead cranes designed for moving containers are distinguished by at least several features. Devices of this type can operate in places exposed to direct weather conditions. Depending on requirements and local conditions, load capacity and span configurations are adjusted. Structures with booms are often used. When transporting larger loads, the crane structure is often based on two girders. Some solutions feature two hoists that work in tandem. Modern drives of both the trolley and hoist mechanisms are based on frequency converters, which provides exceptional precision during loading. Control is possible from the cabin or using a control pendant that exchanges data from the crane using a radio data transmission system. Very often, the operator's cabin traveling with the hoist is taken into account. The advantage of this solution is better visibility during loading.
