We invite you to familiarize yourself with the latest issue of health and safety Promotor. In December, the authors focused on topics related to safety, ergonomics and protective equipment. There was also a review of head and face protection for the energy industry and reflection on work hygiene at school.

    The article is designed to introduce selected examples of already applied good security practices in warehouses, distribution and logistics areas, especially with a large area and fleet of used means of transport in  Grupa Żywiec breweries.

    This article presents an assessment of occupational risk at the position of a wind turbine serviceman. The risk assessment was carried out using the PN-N-18002: 2011 standard, containing a three-grade scale of risk.
• About GWO - training for employees working on wind turbines (17)
  According to the assumptions of the European Union, 20% of energy produced by 2020 is to come from renewable energy sources (so-called renewable energy sources), and wind energy should play a key role in this respect. Appreciating the potential and capabilities of this industry, more and more height workers are deciding to take korders just at wind farms located both in Poland and abroad.

    In July 2015, in the plant dealing with the utilization and processing of animal waste from the province Warmia and Mazury, there was a serious accident of the boiler house manager who fell from a height of about 4 meters onto a concrete floor. This event can be used as a training example of how not to do work at heights, and as an illustration of the principle that haste is a bad adviser. The circumstances and causes of the accident were examined by the inspector of the National Labor Inspectorate.

    RODO is Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and the repeal of Directive 95/46/EC. Importantly, in many respects, the RUR is departing from the solutions adopted so far under the current regulations, which in practice means that companies will have a number of new responsibilities.

    The professional job of a qualified tile-maker is, among others, reading and analyzing working drawings and on the basis of specified works execution: selection of material, tools, equipment and machines, preparation of the substrate, implementation of insulation protections, preparation of cement, polyurethane and epoxy mixes (by hand and/or mechanized method), floor/floor preparation using the right technology and surface finishing (polishing, sanding, varnishing). This type of profession can not be performed by people with respiratory, circulatory system diseases, skin diseases and allergies.

    In workplaces where therer is a risk of mechanical head injuries, it is necessary to use protective helmets. Injuries of this type can cause injury to the scalp or bones of the skull, can also cause damage to the spine and concussion. They can be caused aby falling objects or head bumps on protruding structural elements of the workplace. In order to protect against such threats, it is possible to choose three types of protective helmets: light, highly effective and the most popular industrial helmets that meet the PN-EN 397 + A1: 2013-04 standard.
