    According to the experts of the Association of Business Service Leaders, introducing systemic actions aimed at increasing the level of employee health protection and supporting their well-being in every aspect is a necessary activity on the labor market, which has changed a lot due to on the COVID-19 pandemic. As emphasized by experts from the World Health Organization (WHO), the pandemic has caused many changes in the work system, which may strengthen the tendency to extend working hours. The latest data published by the WHO show that the number of hours worked recently increased by an average of 10%, which poses a significant health risk to workers.
  • Electromagnetic field emitted by radiocommunication systems - changes in Warsaw in the 21st century (5)
    The
    widespread use of radiocommunication systems contributes to the exposure of people to the electromagnetic field emitted by these systems. Due to the large number of users in the metropolitan environment, there is the highest concentration of radio communication antennas and the electromagnetic field with the most complex frequency spectrum. The article presents the results of the identification and assessment of exposure to electromagnetic field emitted by radio communication systems. On the basis of own research, the nearly twenty-year-long evolution of the parameters of the exhibition in the center of Warsaw was characterized. They indicate that until 2020 in public buildings and in the open space of the city, employees were not exposed to electromagnetic fields in Warsaw at a level requiring periodic control in accordance with the requirements of labor law. The study did not include the assessment of the parameters of local exposure to a stronger electromagnetic field directly at the transmitter antennas, most often located on the roofs of buildings or free-standing supporting structures.

    The aim of the article is to present the views of employers about the employment of people with intellectual disabilities . The possibility of taking up a job is a chance for personality development and reducing social isolation of these people, however, from the point of view of the employees of poviat labor offices, the chances of such activity are small. The main reason for this is the low level of education, as the vast majority of people with intellectual disabilities have only basic education, and only a small part - special vocational education. Despite the fact that people have a positive view of the professional activity of this group, they are not willing to employ it in their own enterprises. The questionnaire research conducted at CIOP-PIB in 2020 was aimed at showing what opinion prevails among employers about people with intellectual disabilities as employees and about their employment. The article contains the results of this research.

    In recent years, particular attention has been paid to the well-being of workers, as well as interventions aimed at maintaining or improving this well-being. Research to date has shown that one of the ways to maintain or improve the health and well-being of employees is to build their psychological resources. The aim of the article is to present effective interventions aimed at building a personal resource, which is psychological capital. The article presents the typology of organizational interventions and discusses the model of intervention developing the psychological capital of employees. Then, examples of impacts based on these assumptions are described, as well as many other interventions that are effective in developing psychological capital and increase the level of employee well-being.

    Preventive vaccinations are the most effective method of prophylaxis in combating infectious diseases. Vaccinations make it possible to control the development of diseases, and in many cases allow them to be completely eliminated. The article introduces the reader to the knowledge of vaccination history, types of immunity and types of vaccines. Moreover, legal regulations concerning compulsory and recommended vaccinations in Poland were analyzed.

    Exposure to cold environment may have a negative effect on the employee's body. Unfavorable conditions can lead to the cooling of the distal parts as well as the body and even to hypothermia. The article focuses on one of the elements of the influence of the cold environment on the human body, and more precisely on manual dexterity. It presents the influence of the cold environment on changes in hand dexterity, which in turn may translate into, inter alia, to increase the number of accidents, and therefore work safety.
