Therefore, since we devote more than 90,000 to work hours of your existence, you can say that it is one of the most important experiences that meet us. This, in turn, is connected with the fact that we are accompanied by various emotions at that time. And, as is the result of many scientific studies, this has a whole range of implications.

    Verbal abuse leaves no visible wounds or other marks on the body. However, it is just as damaging and painful as physical violence. Even a single word can be used to humiliate someone. Carefully selected, he can make a victim of someone, make him rejected, lose his sense of personal value.
  • State of safety of forklift operators in Poland (7)
    The increase in the number of forklifts is associated with an increased risk of accidents and hazardous situations that should be systematically analyzed. In this assessment, it is worth using accident indicators regarding given devices and dangerous situations. The article presents the results of studies on the causes and effects of accidents at work of forklift truck operators in 2011-2017. The most severe accidents occurred as a result of the truck losing stability on a bend, being crushed by a truck or load, and being hit by a truck. It was found that the safety of truck operators under full supervision was improved. Errors in the operation of trucks increase, which requires more frequent verification of operators' skills and increasing their awareness of hazards.
  • Incidence of Lyme disease in selected professions in Poland (12)
    Lyme disease, also called Lyme disease, often has a latency period of many years. Different symptoms, caused by different strains, can further impede its identification. Too late diagnosis and treatment often leads to irreversible osteoarticular or neurological changes that can cause fetal developmental changes and even miscarriage. A wide base of tick hosts additionally increases the risk of getting sick in the workplace of various professional groups. The article describes the risk of Lyme disease in relation to selected professions in Poland, and in particular for forest workers who are the highest risk group. By correlating data from multi-annual reports, it is possible to analyze the effects of the personal protective equipment used so far and to determine the estimated likelihood of Lyme disease among other professional groups.
  • Gender inequalities in the labor market - a literature review (15)
    In most European countries, the situation of women in the professional sphere is not the same as that of men. The article focuses on the problem of gender inequalities in the labor market based on the analysis of data from surveys carried out in Poland and worldwide. Attention was focused on such issues as: the level of employment of women and men, the level and relation of remuneration between women and men, the working time of women and men, as well as the employment structure and development opportunities. The article also attempts to indicate the reasons for these inequalities.
