• About the directions of activities of the POLISH ISO 9000 Club in the 2020–2024 term
    The election of the new club management is behind us. At the end of September this year. the XXX General Assembly of the POLISH ISO 9000 FORUM Club took place, which had the formula of a post-election assembly. The discharge was granted to the outgoing Board of the 7th term of office and new authorities of the Board of the 8th term Club were elected for the years 2020–2024. Due to the global situation related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the general meeting was organized on-line. The professional and effective IT tool Virtual Meeting System (VMS), developed by NOT Informtion, was used to support the general meeting and conduct a secret vote related to the election of the authorities for the new term of office.

It includes studies on quality management, environmental management, energy management, occupational health and safety management, information security management, and social responsibility.
  • How blockchain technology supports the functioning of supply chains
    Blockchain technology is currently one of the most developmental tools supporting the functioning of enterprises. It offers numerous opportunities that can be linked to specific aspects of the business reality. Correlating blockchain technology with the supply chain can be a powerful transformational force, allowing you to increase quality and improve process efficiency, as well as stimulate the introduction and development of innovation. The purpose of this article is to identify areas where blockchain can support supply chains. The method of analyzing the literature on the subject and the practices of companies that are leaders in the use of this technology was used. Main conclusions: blockchain technology can be used in the supply chain, incl. to improve material flows, strengthen the trust of business partners and secure transactions. However, there are still many barriers to the implementation of this technology, e.g. economic conditions, technological limitations or legal regulations.
  • Patterns of non-compliance in the agri-food chain
    Food fraud is an urgent global policy issue. The susceptibility of the food chain to fraud and adulteration is constantly growing, among others with the development of the COVID-19 pandemia. The aim of the article is to present the results of the analysis of data on non-compliance and their nature in the agri-food chain, resulting in particular from food adulteration. The following data sources were used: scientific journals, DG SANTE, EU FFN & AAC reports, RASFF portal, IJHAR-S administrative decisions related to food adulteration. The main studies cover the period 2016-2020. In Europe, most irregularities occur in the case of food supplements and meat products. Although, in individual countries, other products are most often falsified, which is influenced by differences in prices, food consumption patterns, the level of competition, the design of legal sanctions, etc., which additionally changes over time. The study is intended, inter alia, to serve public and private decision-makers seeking to ensure a high level of protection to the participants of the agri-food chain.
  • Basics of contract management in the purchasing process
    The aim of the article is to present the theoretical foundations of contract management as an element of the purchasing process. Based on the synthesis of literature and industry reports, the author made an attempt to explain the essence and function of contract management, referring to the achievements of social and economic sciences. Main conclusions: understanding the legal and economic aspects of contracts and how to improve the organization's performance can be the key to streamlining the contracting process. Enterprises view contracts as a control tool, not focusing on the developmental function of contract management when it comes to relationships with business partners.
