• Rental of apartments on social terms in the context of changes in the housing policy model in Poland (1-7)
The subject of the article is the rental of apartments as a housing aid for low- and very low-income households in Poland. Providing assistance under the two currently used forms of lease is the municipalities' own task. The aim of the article is to answer two questions: what are the effects and potential of the abovementioned changes in the scope of implementation of the task of housing demarginalization of low- and very low-income households and does current housing policy lead to a change in its model? The National Housing Program, which contains legitimate goals and solutions, has not yet brought measurable effects in the form of increasing the scale of social housing creation or improving the provision of housing assistance to low- and very low-income households. We are still dealing rather with the inertia of the old housing assistance policy, which, moreover, brings good results, but in the market sector. The new programs, which have been accelerating in recent months, bring with them significant potential for beneficial changes for the poor. An analysis of the direction of these changes leads to the conclusion that the model of Polish housing assistance policy is changing towards greater selectivity of assistance and limiting it to indigent people.

Although the average working time in this part of the world is short compared to other OECD countries, the reason for this phenomenon is largely the polarization of the working time distribution and the associated high percentage of people working in short and long hours. Working time schedules differ depending on the gender and the country analyzed. While in the case of short hours, the possibility of combining work and family responsibilities is of great importance, which translates into the over-representation of women in this group of workers, so the determinants of long-term work for both sexes remain different or act in opposite directions.
