- Solution to the problem of repairing the V shaft reinforcement in KWK "Ruda" Ruch "Bielszowice"
The article presents the analysis of the possibility of renovating the shaft reinforcement without limiting its transport tasks, with the operating parameters in accordance with the technical documentation of the shaft hoist, the specified technical condition of the girders and guides. Such renovation was carried out using the knowledge and experience capital in the field of maintaining the required level of safety for guiding the lifting vessels in conditions of the permissible wear of guides and girders included in the mine shaft hoist documentation.
- The role and tasks of mining supervision in the process of decommissioning mining plants in Saxony
The article presents a review of mining plant decommissioning procedures supported by examples. There are two different legal instruments in this area. The first of these is the plant closure plan, in which the mining entrepreneur must provide evidence of compliance with the conditions for termination of mining operations and the elimination of hazards, and submit it to the mining supervision for approval. The second instrument is reduced to the termination of supervision by the mining supervision authority as soon as it finds that certain conditions have been met.

The article presents the results of research on three types of lifelines used by mining plants and OSRG Bytom - Zabrze both during operations and rescue exercises. The purpose of the analyzes was to determine the time of fastening and unfastening and the manner of movement of rescue teams in W-70 regenerative apparatuses in smoky excavations of the OSRG Bytom - Zabrze exercise chamber and in smoke-free conditions.
